• Growing the Beard: The early volumes read as a cheap copy+paste of Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World with a lot of wish fulfillment, a lack-luster easily exploited protagonist, and a Cliché Storm of harem tropes and stereotypes, but by the time Volume 11 comes around Whatsawhizzer has really come into his own, and the story becomes a very engaging tale with deeply complex and relatable characters, lots of world-building, Real Politik and the various factions have good reasons for what they do.
