• Alternate Character Interpretation: Rarity could just be an excessive packer. Or the amount of stuff she brings could be her own Laser-Guided Karma for Sweetie Belle's shameless emotional blackmail getting her to come along.
• Fanfic Fuel:
  • The ending makes Scootalove canon, so expect more fanwork to incorporate that.
  • Luna's ability to enter dreams has been used in a couple fanworks before, but it's going to be used a LOT more now!
• First Instalment Wins: Among the three “Luna visits the CMC in their dreams'” episodes, this is the most well-received.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: In this episode, Scootaloo turns chicken, metaphorically that is.
• Nausea Fuel: Those Exhausted Eye Bags...
• Padding: For a minute in the middle of the episode, Scootaloo falls asleep on her scooter and, as you'd expect, continues sleeping as she narrowly scoots by disaster before meeting up with the rest of the group. Aside from humor, the sequence contributes nothing to the episode.
• Paranoia Fuel: Princess Luna can infiltrate anyone's dreams. So that's why she was called Nightmare Moon.
• The Woobie: Although some of Scootaloo's plights are hilarious, the pegasus filly still cranks up her inner woobie. Especially when you see Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle laughing and cuddling up against their big sisters while Scootaloo struggles with her fears alone.
