• Alternative Character Interpretation: Was Luka sincere when, in Heart Hunter, he stated that Marinette could "tell him nothing" and "just be herself" with him? In the light of the events of Truth, where on the contrary he demands the "honest truth" from Marinette, maybe it was just a tactic to woo her in the first place. Then again, given how many elaborate Blatant Lies Marinette tells whenever she has to ditch him and how much she's Acting Unnatural each time, instead of telling him just she has a lot of stuff going on that she can't tell him about...
• Harsher in Hindsight: Ladybug asks Cat Noir what he thinks of her new role as guardian; Cat replies, "If it doesn't change things between us, then I'm good with it." A major theme of the rest of the season is Cat feeling that things have changed between the two of them, in large part due to her new role.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Truth’s power, forcing people to share whatever secret they may be hiding, was accidentally predicted a year earlier by this webcomic.
• I Knew It!:
  • After "Captain Hardrock" and "Desperada", many fans suspected that Luka's father is Jagged Stone, considering their similar music style, similar dyed hair and Jagged's interaction with Luka's mother. This episode confirms this theory.
  • When the initial synopsis for this episode came out, many fans guessed that Marinette and Luka would break up in it. Sure enough, the episode ends with Marinette deciding it's too dangerous to date anyone and breaking things off with Luka.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: The episode reveals that Jagged Stone is Luka's father. Thomas Astruc has said that Luka and Juleka are twins which means that Jagged is also Juleka's father. While we see how Luka is affected by the reveal, we never see Juleka's reaction. That being said, her own insecurities over Jagged being her father would come up later in the season in Crocoduel.
