• Ensemble Dark Horse: Eye Guy would prove to be one of the shows' most iconic monsters, returning multiple times throughout the series and eventually getting an action figure release for Hasbro's "Lightning Collection" line.
• Genius Bonus: While it's understandable to assume Eye Guy is simply some freaky monster covered in eye balls, his design is in fact based on Argus, the giant with one hundred eyes from Greek mythology (his name in the original Zyuranger episode is even "Dora Argus").
• Stock Footage Failure: When Billy is blasted by Eye Guy, someone can be seen on the ground behind him briefly before the screen pans. It's actually the girl from Finster's flashback who was the Victim of the Week in the Zyuranger equivalent.
• Villain Ball: Why capture the kid when instead gaslighting him would have been more effective? He may have asked to be taken to Rita's palace voluntarily, allowing her to put a spell on him.
