** The cartoonishly large ring Maleficent wore on her finger in the animated series didn't translate well into live action. Doubly so for its version before Maleficent's StartOfDarkness where it's close to the size of her fist and looks like it's made of cheap yellow plastic.

** Since Aurora is the NarratorAllAlong, is what we see the completely true story? After all, Aurora would only have Maleficent's word to go on, and Maleficent could have made herself seem better. Or does Aurora put Maleficent on a pedestal and thus imagine the story she doesn't know as such?
