• Hilarious in Hindsight: At one point when Patti asks Donna why she doesn't go out with any guys, she replies, "I'm not gay!" Thirteen years later, Cynthia Nixon would come out as a lesbian.
• Hollywood Homely: At one point, David claims that in order to keep a loyal Patti from straying, he suggests he should get plastic surgery and calls himself ugly. While the real David Brown fits that role, here he's played by the tall and handsome Clancy Brown.
• Retroactive Recognition:
  • Cynthia Nixon plays Donna, a close friend of Patti and David's eventual lover after Patti is arrested.
  • Nestor Serrano plays Cinnamon's parole officer Gonzalez.
  • Al Stutz, the friend-turned-informant that turned David in for his plots to kill Patti, the prosecutor and the judge, is played by none other than Tobin Bell.
