- Ho Yay: Pepper and Mitzi's duet song involves a lot of longing looks, hand-holding, closeness, dancing, has them pushing their butts together and using their tails to make a heart, and ends with Mitzi wishing she could be like Pepper.
- The Woobie: Once we see how Mitzi really feels, one can see the slight changes to how she's animated, which shows how pained her movements become when she's tuckered out, yet the pets keep demanding more out of her.
- Pepper is one in the first two acts when the pets start obsessing over Mitzi's scents and flat-out ignore her.
