YMMV / Little Princess School

Go To

  • Designated Hero: The princesses are constantly trying to skip school, lying to everyone if they get caught, and at one point insulting a teacher to her face. This behavior is not portrayed as wrong at any point.
  • Designated Villain: Madam Drastic. She's supposed to be evil, but all she does is try to keep the girls from skipping school.
  • Genius Bonus: Some of the names are puns, like "Madam Drastic" being a play on "madrasta," the word for "stepmother," referencing how she is based on Snow White's Wicked Stepmother. "Zade" is also a play on "Scheherazade."
  • Hilarious in Hindsight:
    • A few years later, Ever After High came out with a similar premise. It's about several fairy-tale characters, who know that they're fairy-tale characters, going to a school together. Two of the characters are the upcoming versions of Cinderella and Snow White.
    • A cast of characters based on the Disney Animated Canon in a one-gender boarding Wizarding School setting. What we have here is pretty much a genderflipped Twisted Wonderland.
  • Squick:
    • The princesses are in the first grade, but they're pressured to kiss on two separate occasions.
    • The toad more than once pressures people to kiss him in exchange for useful information. Once he changes back into a prince (in reality a grotesque toad-man creature), he chases down an obviously uncomfortable Madam Drastic.
  • Values Dissonance:
    • The magic mirror is a large-lipped, afro-haired black man. This is more offensive in some places than others.
    • There are also some sexist elements, like how the girls are there to learn to be beautiful and their gym teacher says they need to be in shape to do 'high-stress shopping'.
