- Narm: The use of "Human Being" in place of "the People" when they're not really in the same context can annoy some people. There's also Jack's capture by the US Army when he's sixteen, before he goes off to live with the preacher and his wife. How does he try to make it clear that he's a white man? Yell "God bless George Washington!" and "God bless my mother!" as if it would help. The accent that he seems to do it with doesn't help matters.
- Uncanny Valley: The older version of Jack, as played by Dustin Hoffman in heavy age makeup. The fact that a close-up on his face is the first shot of the movie doesn't help.
YMMV / Little Big Man
