- Funny Moments: The scene during Aaron's excommunication where he calls out the other Mormons for hating "alternative lifestyles" even though their ancestors were practitioners of "alternative lifestyles" themselves.

- Lila and Aaron's first meeting, after she visits a dying relative in the hospital.
- This exchange after Keith, the maybe-psychic AIDS patient, gives Christian some advice. Especially heartwarming considering their initially rocky relationship.
Christian: Are you being the oracle guy now?Keith: No. I'm just bein' your friend.- After Aaron gets excommunicated, he visits Lila, tells her what happened, and apologizes for venting to her so much. She says it's alright, because she once did the same to him.
- Christian catching Aaron at the Salt Lake City airport and confessing that he's fallen in love with him. Aaron is still scared about returning his feelings, frustrating Christian enough that he attempts to leave, but the door has frozen shut in the blizzard giving Aaron the chance to kiss Christian.
- The scene at the end in the restaurant where Aaron and Chris finally reunite will destroy you.
- Lila's last speech at the dinner table, a message of welcoming and acceptance to those who had been ostracized by their families and communities.
