- Awesome Music: The bombastic "Hungarian March" from The Damnation of Faust, composed by Hector Berlioz, is perfect to accompany Louis de Funès' conductor gestures that verge on Milking the Giant Cow.
- Ho Yay: The Turkish baths scene. First Bouvet and then Lefort approach a burly man with an enormous mustache, thinking he's the British aviator they're supposed to meet. To make matters worse, they're wearing nothing but a Modesty Towel and are whistling the refrain of "Tea for Two", a well-known but prohibited American love song.
- Memetic Mutation: Go to any Youtube video of Berlioz' "Hungarian March" and you will likely find comments quoting Stanislas Lefort or mentioning this movie.
