- Alternate Character Interpretation: Kane is insistent on sticking to how things were done in prehistoric days and often goes on about how things were better back then. This could be a result of him secretly missing the life and world of 65 million years ago which no longer exists.
- Angst? What Angst?: None of the dinos seem to care that all of their fellow non-avian brethren were wiped out long ago.
- Lucy quickly gets over the discovery that her new friend was actually a robot made by Skor.
- Bile Fascination: Most people who watch the show do so to see just how bad it is.
- Cliché Storm: A quirky Five-Man Band who battle the Monster of the Week, a Generic Doomsday Villain, and his Bumbling Sidekick.
- Genius Bonus: The Posse members were all named after real life martial artists: Kane Kosugi, Jet Li, Stephen Chow and Lucy Liu.
- Nightmare Fuel: "Swimming Lessons" when Kane reveals why he's afraid of water: he'd been painting by a lake when Skor threw his painting into the lake. Kane dived in to retrieve it when a storm suddenly kicked up, turning the lake into a whirlpool in which he nearly drowned. And Skor laughed at him all the while.
- So Bad, It's Good: This show's status as a Cliché Storm Teenage Mutant Samurai Wombats show can make it completely hilarious.
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: In one episode, the Posse find another frozen dino, a female triceratops named Leela. A new dino as well as a new girl, Leela could've served as a fresh face for the team, but it's revealed that she was actually a robot built by Skor to infiltrate the Posse.
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Continuing from the above, Leela could've had a Heel–Face Turn and turned against Skor to join the Posse, having been touched by Lucy's friendship.
