YMMV / Kosodate Quiz My Angel

Go To

  • Awesome Art: Thanks to the Animesque artstyle, the older games have lots of fans among those who love retro games.
  • Esoteric Happy Ending: The Old Maid Canon Ending slightly disappoints few fans because she doesn't want to marry a man which averts Happily Ever After, and going far away for her career, but it's OK... because both parents and the daughter are happy.
  • Heartwarming Moments: Thanks to Video Game Caring Potential, in every games, some endings tend to have this when your daughter, who has already grown up, send her messages and greetings to the parents, especially when you accept her marriage or she happily go out and having a great career.
  • Sequel Displacement: Many players and VTubers only know and play Kosodate Quiz More: My Angel, the fourth game of the series, and not the others. Most likely, it's because of a surprisingly good artstyle and background musics.
  • Tear Jerker:
    • There are scenes completely Played for Drama, such as the fourth game's scene when the daughter is infuriated to find you reading her secret diary. No funny outcome is possible.
    • All of the endings, whether you’re wistful to see the daughter leave for her career/marriage, or sad because you regret rejecting her fiancé at the end.
  • They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: The latest game in the series has a drastically different artstyle, much more simplistic than the previous old-school anime style.
  • Visual Effects of Awesome: Despite the limited sprites, the animations of the daughter (and son) character(s) and the parents are quite good. Especially in in the first and fourth games' opening animations.
