  • Awesome Music: Her unexpected return to the ring at All Elite Wrestling was greatly enhanced by her new theme, a terrifying dark orchestral theme that contains only one sentence as the lyrics: "[There are] 8 million ways to die...She's One." Awesome indeed.
  • Critic-Proof: Her brief TNA return ended up killing her chances of returning to any major promotion, thanks both to the fact she was visibly a lot slower due to bad knees, and the backstage incident where she grabbed Reby Hardy by the throatnote  which immediately got her fired and branded as having a major attitude problem. Except it didn't, fans were still happy to see her back in the ring at All Elite.
  • Epileptic Trees: A couple, relating to her brief aborted storyline in WWE.
    • Fans initially noticed that Kharma only appeared after matches that Kelly Kelly and Layla had. Notably she would keep leaving the former alone, despite having an easy chance to attack her. It's suspected to this day that the plan was for Kelly Kelly to turn heel and recruit Kharma as a bodyguard to help her win the Divas' Championship - which she would then feud with Layla for. Layla has said she injured her leg before her match against Michelle McCool, but didn't realise how serious it was until after - and she was written off TV very soon.
    • Another theory was that Kharma was specifically going after former Divas' Champions - she attacked Michelle McCool, Maryse, Alicia Fox and Eve Torres in that order. But that theory was shot out the window when Nikki Bella was the next victim.
  • Harsher in Hindsight:
    • The Morasca/Sharmell feud was harshly viewed enough at the time of its airing that the only people watching it in hindsight would have to be really big fans of Sojourner Bolt, Awesome Kong or TNA in general. Still, that Awesome Kong had sold out to a reality show contestant was not something anyone made note of. Samoa Joe had already sold out during the height of his "Nation Of Violence", TNA was being consistent. But then it turned out part of Kong's reason for leaving TNA was over pay.
    • The $25,000 challenge where Kong offered the amount to any woman who could defeat her. It was won by Taylor Wilde - who would later be outed working a minimum wage job at a Sunglass Hut while she was still champion to make ends meet. And Kong would later leave TNA over being denied a minor pay rise.
    • Beating up Bubba The Love Sponge, while unprofessional, was something she was widely celebrated for, as a lot of wrestlers felt he was just asking for them to beat him up, and a lot of fans wanted to strangle him too. After her incident with Reby Hardy though, people questioned if they celebrated too much and set a bad precedent.
    • Her appearance in the 2012 Royal Rumble can become harsher to watch with the knowledge that her baby had not survived the birth, but she was still pretending he had at the time.
  • Memetic Badass: Awesome Kong kills bitches dead.
  • Nightmare Retardant: Watching her out of character can have this effect.
  • Rooting for the Empire: Often the case during her NWA World Women's title run. For instance, when she defended against Sara Del Rey at NWA Pro, the crowd was pretty much behind Sara in spite of her manager talking down to them. Sara mostly wrestled legally while Kong leaned on the rules and outright broke them at points. By the end of the match the crowd was booing Del Rey and cheering Kong, Kong who was trying to kill the referee while Del Rey promised a rematch. Granted, in that case it was empire vs empire so Amazing Kong presumably seemed like the lesser of two evils but didn't seem that way from the match alone.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: Her All Elite Wrestling run, unfortunately. Despite being the biggest name in the women's division at the company's founding and a much-hyped return after a hiatus from full-time wrestling, she was given the role of being Brandi Rhodes' enforcer in the poorly received and ill-fated Nightmare Collective angle, which hurt much of her character's credibility in the promotion. While that by no means would've killed her momentum by itself, she then had the bad luck of taking another hiatus to film season four of GLOW, followed immediately by the COVID-19 pandemic limiting the amount of time she could actually work along with the cancellation of that aforementioned season mid-production. After spending some time in a backstage role, she was ultimately released from the company in 2021 when her contract was not renewed, leaving fans to wonder What Could Have Been had Awesome Kong been part of an AEW women's division which was in a more stable position than it was at the start. She was also Dented Iron at the time, and indeed would officially retire in August of 2021.
  • Unexpected Character: An Ensemble Dark Horse to the degree that she showed up as DLC in WWE '12 despite the fact that she still hadn't wrestled a televised match. Oh, and around comes WWE '13 and she's back again, around one of the first confirmed, despite still not having a televised match! Hell, she wasn't even with WWE anymore.
    • Not many were expecting her surprise entrance at All Elite Wrestling's inaugural Double or Nothing show.
  • What Do You Mean, It's Not Symbolic?: Her WWE hype promo consisted of destroying Bratz dolls.note
