• Crosses the Line Twice: "You and Him" is a scathing The Reason You Suck comparing a misogynist and ignorant bigot to Adolf Hitler. The chorus goes out of its way to show how much the two have in common by depicting them getting along in increasingly surreal everyday moments, including getting married at Taco Bell.
• Heartwarming Moments:
  • "Glacier" is a pep talk directed to younger LGBT+ people, making great use of the simile of a glacier carving through a valley as it travels downwards: the hardships you faced in life are part of which makes you into a beautiful person, and if you don't give up and keep fighting the future's going to be bright. The video underscores the theme by including footage from key events in LGBT+ history.
  • "Voodoo Doll": John subverts the trope by taking care of his depressed friend, keeping them warm and entertaining them, using their doll as a proxy.
  • The video for "Down Here" shows a boy fascinated with synchronised swimming who, despite potential disapproving looks, goes to the pool, puts on a sparkly swimming suit and tries to join the synchronised swimming team. One of the swimmers then removes their cap to reveal he's a boy as well, accepting him and dancing in the water together.
