- Ensemble Dark Horse: He's become popular in pretty much every promotion that he's been in for more than a one off appearance but All Japan Pro Wrestling was the only major promotion to respond to that popularity and push him. WCW seemed to be doing something with the Jung Dragons but, despite usually having among the best matches on any given card, decided to bury them. WWE seemed to eventually be giving him a push but after his "wellness policy" violation seemed to change their minds.
- Fan Nickname: WWE wasn't too happy with fans calling his short lived tag team with Shannon "Moore Wang".
- Hilarious in Hindsight: Having Jimmy Hart as a manager seemed a bit too early after Yang's "redneck" gimmick in WWE.
