  • Accidental Innuendo: In the Dead Space 3 Let's Play with Dodger
"Just fit it in, just stick it in. Just stick it...theeee aaah, it fell out, damnit. Look look, do you want me to put it in? There."
  • Awesome Art: The thumbnails for his videos are cartoon-style images that have their own appealing flair. Child of Light in particular manages to look exactly like the game itself, while Wolfenstein: The New Order and Shadow of Mordor convey the tones of their respective games very well.
  • Friendly Fandoms:
    • With TB and Dodger, with whom he shares a podcast.
    • With Strippin, thanks to the two being Vitriolic Best Buds.
    • With Crendor, who shares his love of Warcraft and general goofiness. The two host Cox n' Crendor, modeled after a morning radio show.
    • He has quite a degree of overlap with fans of the Yogscast, in no small part due to their interaction in the early years of the latter's existence. Fans of his and Hannah Rutherford's have developed a rapport in light of Maker's Executive Meddling.
  • Hilarious In Hindsight: On his Fan Friday playing of Hatoful Boyfriend, Jesse chose to use the name Flox instead of Cox. Only well after doing so did he realize his character was a girl.
  • Memetic Mutation:
    • David Cage is a golden god!
    • Ever since Until Dawn, assuming wendigos are involved with the plot; noticeably showing up in the comments section of the Contradiction videos.
    • 'What can you tell me about...THIS?' is now quite popular amongst the fandom because of how Detective Jenks from Contradiction would talk about every object he would encounter.
  • One-Scene Wonder:
    • The naked baby in the RPG Makers series.
    • Jesse's cleaning lady in the 10th TGS podcast, who had the entire panel collapsing for almost a minute, and spawned a fanart ten minutes later.
  • Shocking Moments: Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance surpassed his expectations in the first boss battle with RAY.
Jesse: (Raiden having grabbed RAY's sword and thrown it) Did I just lift him?! DID I JUST LIFT HIM?!
Jesse: This is how we end thi— (Raiden starts to flip Metal Gear Excelsius) oh shit, I di- I did not think this is how we end this battle.. (Raiden slams Excelsius into the ground) OH MY GOD!
Jesse: (after Raiden rips off Excelsius' building-sized sword sending it flipping through the air) I'm not gonna use this as a weapon. (Raiden catches it and readies himself to swing it) Oh my god! I'm using that as a weapon!
  • Sidetracked by the Gold Saucer: Has a tendency to go off track from the smallest of things. While never seen in the videos, this was apparently most open in The Old Republic, as he was doing the Tatooine storyline at level 40 (the reccomended level range for that planet is 24-28).
  • So Bad, It's Good: Likes to play these types of games, especially if TotalBiscuit has declared his disdain of one.
  • Tear Jerker: The loss of John Bain, aka TotalBiscuit.
