• Harsher in Hindsight: "The Olympics in Georgia. God, you know we're gonna screw that up." That didn't seem too funny after there was a terrorist attack at Centennial Olympic Park during the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Then again... "Dear Lord, be with our guests and prepare them for the butt-whoopin' they are about to receive." The U.S. dominated the medal count in Atlanta with 44 gold medals, and 101 total medals.
• Lowest Common Denominator: Regardless of one's opinion of his actual comedy, at least part of Foxworthy's success can be attributed to how his comedy caters to conservative white Americans, with his only real insults being directed at American southerners and little to no socio-political material.
• Memetic Mutation: The "If you ____, you might be a redneck" setup has spawned a great deal of imitators and mutations.
• Misattributed Song: Because he's not typically a singer, the "Redneck 12 Days of Christmas" gets credited to just about everyone but him.
  • On the other hand, Tim Wilson isn't quite a misattribution, since he co-wrote it and sometimes sang it himself.
• Values Dissonance: A lot of the Laughing Hyena albums (which were recorded in The '80s) showcase a far coarser and more offensive Jeff than one would expect, with heavy doses of racial stereotypes, gay stereotypes, fatphobia, and misogyny. To wit:
  • In one skit, he asks the crowd if they have "Abduls" working in their 7-Elevens, and then wonders if 7-Elevens in the Middle East have American workers. Later on, he adds ableist humor to the pile with "it's like a midget using mouthwash; who would know?"
  • One joke is about a man hanging a washcloth from his penis and then asking his wife to find it for him, followed by him saying that a black man would instead do the same thing with the bedspread.
  • In a portrayal of a spelling bee, a black student says the word "schedule" in such an exaggerated AAVE accent that it sounds like "scared you", while another is a lisping Camp Gay student who goes to "Butt Pirate High School" and makes an anal sex reference out of the word "indifferent".
  • One joke about plus-size clothing stores points out that they are always located near the food court and on the ground floor so that their target audience will always be able to locate them. He also joked about his grandmother having forearm fat that resembled the Batman logo, and of other family members of his being followed around at the circus by men with shovels (implying that they were being mistaken for elephants).
  • When they were building a shopping mall near his house, he joked that women were berating for the construction workers for taking a lunch break, and then pointed out that "mall opening" and "multiple orgasm" begin with the same two letters.
