- The film would basically serve as a reunion of sorts for Natalie Portman and Peter Sarsgaard, who previously worked together in Garden State.
- This film features Lady Bird Johnson as a supporting character. A year later, Greta Gerwig, who played Nancy Tuckerman, Jackie's friend and secretary, directed a film called Lady Bird.
- Iron Woobie: Jackie, from start to finish. Pay particular attention to her scene with Valenti where she not only tells him she wants to go ahead with the Lincoln-style walking procession, but:Jackie. And tell General De Gaulle — if he wishes to ride in an armored car — or in a tank for that matter — I won’t blame him. And I’m sure the tens of millions of people watching won’t either.
