YMMV / Ivor the Engine

Go To

  • Most Wonderful Sound: Whenever the Grumbly and District Choral Society sings with Ivor, it's usually quite beautiful. The way the Narrator describes it, "It was like the hills and the valleys, the trees and the gasworks all singing together, singing their praises to the golden evening sun".
  • Retroactive Recognition: Dai Station, Evans the Song, and Mr. Dinwiddy are voiced by Anthony Jackson, who would later be best known for playing Trevor Lewis in Bless This House and Fred Mumford in Rentaghost.
  • Unintentional Period Piece:
    • The later episodes from the colored episodes deal with the rarity of half-crowns, which were coins the British used until 1970, years before the series started. So newcomers who watched the series after the coins were withdrawn would get confused about this.
    • The commercials of Ivor advertising BBC 2W would come across like this as the channel has discontinued in 2009.
