YMMV / Iron Man (2020, Ongoing)

• Arc Fatigue: The entire "Books of Korvac" storyline ended up causing this. It is what launched the series, and is planned to end with issue 19. There is very little in the way of subplots beyond character stuff, most of which deals with Korvac anyway, and more than a few people just think the story has outstayed its welcome. Noticeably, Ben Reilly left Earth as the Scarlet Spider and would become Spider-Man in the pages of The Amazing Spider-Man before even returning to Earth in the pages of this series.
• Hilarious in Hindsight:
  • The caption box introducing Frog-Man emphasizes what a loser he is, even noting that he has no action figures. Sure enough, in 2020, he totally got a Marvel Legends figure, so he's not a complete loser!
  • Likewise, Ben Reilly’s inclusion on Iron Man’s team is based on what a second stringer he is. While the story was ongoing, Ben would become the main Spider-Man over in that franchise’s ongoing title.
• Unexpected Character: Colin Richard/Avro-X suddenly appearing at the end of issue 7, being a barely known character that only appeared in one issue during Marvel Fanfare #144 all the way back in 1989. And this is a run full of barely known or used characters associated with Iron Man.
