- Aluminum Christmas Trees:
- Snot otters do exist in real life, although they're normally called something you presumably can't say on Disney.
- An underwater hotel isn't as stupid as Delia thinks.
- Audience-Alienating Premise: A lot of people have trouble getting past the title as it reflects a general lack of imagination or originality (as the main page points out, it leads most people to think of a classic Simpsons episode). The fact that it's trying for an older audience — but stuck on a channel almost permanently associated with tweens — apparently alienates both tweens and teens in falling flat in the middle.
- Broken Base: A lot of people thought the second season with the new writing staff from Good Luck Charlie had finally Growing the Beard, while others had an attitude of They Changed It, Now It Sucks!. Since it got cancelled, the other view prevailed. For the show in general, there are a good number of fans who felt this show was a waste of Olivia Holt's unique talent, considering her other roles.
- Ensemble Dark Horse: Jasmine has a good-sized following.
- Just Here for Godzilla: Plenty of boys just watch for Olivia Holt, Piper Curda and/or Sarah Gilman. Although girls are ostensibly the target audience, many of them watch for Austin North and/or Peyton Clark.
- The Scrappy: Betty is almost universally despised for being an annoying Sassy Black Woman (which combined with Audience-Alienating Premise, Broken Base and it being a Short-Runner makes it appropriate that the second season comes from That's Not So Funny Productions).
- They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: Some fans didn't like that Season 2 got rid of the In Medias Res format of the first season, with the new writing team making it your standard Disney sitcom with more focus on continuity. Though the better writing and funnier jokes made it up for a good chunk of them.
- Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Lindy in "Lindy Nose Best." She not only gets zero repercussions for essentially ruining Mr. Buffington's life in the span of a few days, she doubles down on insisting that her opinions still matter despite the fact that her trying to meddle in people's lives is criticized by everyone else for very obvious reasons.
- The Woobie: Garrett is this. His loneliness and crippling anxiety are constantly Played for Laughs, and his friends don't really seem to actually care about him.
