- Artificial Difficulty: The controls for placing objects are frustratingly fiddly. Given that they barely give you additional precision compared to (say) the Sims games, all they really do is make missions take a lot longer to finish.
- Scrappy Mechanic: Tiling and paneling were the bane of many early game players. The player could only hold one panel or tile at a time and had to go back to pick up more between each use. Thankfully the Cyberpunk Flipper update also added the ability to hold 10 tiles/panels at a time, easing this issue.
- That One Level: Selling a house to Chang Choi is unusually difficult by account of having almost the same interests in housing as Dolan Trusk; pursuing Chang is less about making a house that appeals to him and more about making something that Dolan hates.
