YMMV / Hermética

Go To

  • Common Knowledge: The song "Moraleja". Many people think that it is singed by Ricardo Iorio, because he's a vocal fan of folklore and Hermética used to make make counterpoints between the voice of Claudio O'Connor (who sings with a Metal Scream type 3) and Iorio (who sings with his normal voice). But no, "Moraleja" is singed by Claudio O'Connor, using his own normal voice.
  • Fandom Rivalry: During its days, Hermética's fans had a deep rivalry with those of Rata Blanca, a successful Hard Rock band. After the breakup, the fans of Hermética divided themselves in fans of either Almafuerte or Malón.
  • They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: When Hermètica had just started, fans disliked the song "Yo no lo haré", as it has a slow cadence, unlike all of the other initial songs and the V8 songs. This reaction faded in time, as slow songs became more accepted within Thrash Metal bands.
  • Unintentional Period Piece: "Del Colimba" is about the suffering of a young man drafted into the military, where he endures abuses from those training him. The album was released in 1994, and mandatory military service in Argentina was abolished that same year.
