• Alternate Character Interpretation:
  • Is Hector blind to Kiki and ZsaZsa's teasing and manipulation or is he playing along with it? His chivalry and gallantness allows the two girls to make a fool out of him and get what they want, but there are several implications that Hector is aware of what they're doing, such as his catchphrase at the end of every episode that could easily be him trying to be convincing (he's probably a very bad liar and actor). There's even one that he does when he lampshades that he doesn't know when to say no.
    Hector: I'm a big kind old Hector ... [glares] but ... don't you push me too far...
  • Is Kiki as innocent as she seems to be? She always acts naive and incompetent about many things that don't involve the weather, leading to Hector jumping in as a Big Brother Instinct. However, we cannot ignore that she and ZsaZsa scheme to make Hector look like an idiot.
• The Scrappy: ZsaZsa and Kiki's antics to make a fool out of Hector becomes this to many, making everyone often sympathize with Hector, even though the episode portrays him as in the wrong.
• Values Dissonance: Hector confirmed that he occasionally goes out hunting and threatens an intruder (discovering immediately that it's Kiki) that he'll shoot them if they're not careful. The likes of having a character with any sort of gun in a children's show (that isn't a police officer/in the army/any job that involves guns) is almost impossible to see nowadays.
  • Also, hunting for wild animals as a sport is seen by many these days as disgraceful, unforgivable and morbid (and has even been made illegal in several countries), making it very hard to make a character not fall into Moral Event Horizon, whether they're the hero or not.
