  • Awesome Art: For a VN released in 2005, few will argue that the art looks really good.
  • Base-Breaking Character: Akane. Many dislike him due to him being a psychotic Jerkass whose moral depravity and arrogance makes the story difficult to enjoy at best, and wish Igarasu was the protagonist instead. Others like him for the exact same reasons, enjoying just how different he ends up being in comparison to normal VN protagonists, and find the delving into his mind to be easily the most interesting parts of the game.
  • Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: The Zombie apocalypse ending. There's canon Ho Yay, Jealousy, and Ishima Kaigen raising her army of dead warriors. It is glorious.
  • It's Short, So It Sucks!: Very much so. The short length is commonly linked to the majority of criticism labeled against the game.
  • So Okay, It's Average: The general consensus among Nitro Plus fans is that, while a competent enough VN with a decent number of artistic flourishes, the short length prevents the game from really becoming compelling, and the story itself largely just functions as a test drive for ideas Narahara would explore in Full Metal Daemon Muramasa.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: In spades. Thanks to the games short length of just five chapters that are maybe just over an hour in length each, virtually all the story outside of Akane and Igarasu's rivalry is underwritten. The result is that the entire backstory is conveyed in exposition dumps and brief flashbacks, the alternate endings are reduced to abrupt cutaways, the Hokodomo-no-Kai end up being dealt with almost immediately after getting established, and plot points that seem important such as a powerplay in the Takigawa Corperation following Yumi's assassination, or Akane becoming a wanted criminal are basically glossed over.
  • Too Bleak, Stopped Caring: Besides the Black-and-Grey Morality of the characters, nothing good happens in the entire story.
