- Ensemble Dark Horse: Arejay. Even most of the people who hate the band like him.
- Friendly Fandoms: With Lovebites, since their name is a Shout-Out to a Halestorm song. Lovebites opened for Halestorm on their 2019 tour of Japan.
- Surprisingly Improved Sequel: Halestorm is a technically proficient album but a lot of the songs sound the same: there's only so many times you can reuse the "I'm a bad girl" theme. The Strange Case of... is much more varied both musically and thematically and Lzzy Hale shows off a more musical, less screamy side of her singing voice on several tunes. Apparently the Recording Academy agreed.
