  • Alternative Character Interpretation: Are the Bat helpers a bunch of attention-seeking nutcases who are just looking for an excuse to wreak havoc on people? Or are they zealous vigilantes whose hearts are in the right place that legitimately believe the police and Batman are incapable of keeping the peace in the daylight?
  • Complacent Gaming Syndrome: Somewhat. There are different types of games, but you will always find people on team deathmatch, even if the other types aren't really seeing attention. There tends to be enough variation in playstyle to avoid this trope on that front.
  • Demonic Spiders: Burly/Mighty with a jetpack & Rocket Launcher or with a sniper rifle. Jetpackers fly above you and throw rockets faster than you can walk a circle and sniping ones tends to one shot easily. Even though it's not headshot, it will take much health away.
  • Goddamn Bats: No pun intended. The light skater and shotgun and/or submachine gun. In terms of lethality they need to be close, so trying to fire from far away won't deal much damage to you, however they are hard to hit, and once they get close they can kill you quickly if they know what they're doing. All of this is offset by low HP, so if you do hit them with a heavier weapon they may be down for the count.
  • Unintentionally Sympathetic: The vigilantes known as the "Bats" get nothing but disdain from Batman. While his grievances about them are justified given their violent nature, there is a case that can be made for them. Consider the following:
    • This is Gotham City of the DC Universe; it's a 24/7 shitheap with the amount of criminal activity it has, and more often than not superheroes overlook that with the kind of global threats they have to face; not even Batman can stop all of it especially since he's only out at night, and Law enforcement in the DC universe is rather lackluster.
    • The Bats only formed because of Batman choosing to go after the Joker instead of saving Winslow Heath; a victim of the Joker, who went on to form the Jokerz because of Batman's callous decision.
    • While the Bats are still a byproduct of Heath's deception at the end of the day, destructive in nature, potentially bit nutty, and have loose moral standards... their main objective isn't to commit malevolent deeds like the Jokerz who are high on the "Joker Juice" that Heath created; the closest they've ever come to that was releasing a gas that would rile up bats against the Jokerz... and anyone who looks like a clown... where as the Jokerz release a gas that just straight-up kills millions.
    • In the end, the Bats are simply cleaning up the mess that Batman left behind in broad daylight, and are just a sign that Batman's obsession with catching the Joker has given them every reason to band together and take charge when he won't.
