  • Anticlimax Boss: The Dragon-Emperor. His palace is the largest level in the game, consisting of several dozen rooms, all with their own flavour text conveying his unimaginable glory, wealth and power. Some rooms' descriptions also feature small details like heads of the executed implying that not everything is as good as it seems. When you finally meet him, he has the sprite of the Necromancer, but he doesn’t attack. You go talk to him... and he says it's good to see you. You can try to attack him afterwards, but he is absolutely invulnerable and doesn't bother to fight back.
  • It's Easy, So It Sucks!: Once you figure out just how quickly the sleep can heal you and get used to the exceptionally stupid enemy AI, the gameplay stops being challenging and all vulnerable enemies become little more than passing annoyance.
  • Squick: The King's intestines lead into the massive lurky sea. This can be much more disturbing to players who got there through another way first.
