- Hilarious in Hindsight: There are a few characters that made an appearance in the series before being officially announced as playable characters in the Super Smash Bros. series.
- Mega Man, Pac-Man, Cloud, Bayonetta, the Duck Hunt Dog, Little Mac, a Mii, Dark Pit, and Bowser Jr. all made an appearance in this series before becoming playable characters in Smash 4
- King K. Rool, Banjo and Kazooie, some Piranha Plants, and Steve all appeared in this series years before becoming playable characters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
- The series also featured the Raving Rabbids before they later appeared as downloadable Mii fighter costumes in Ultimate.
- Meanwhile, Fancy Pants Man also made an appearance in this series before later becoming playable in Indie Game Battle.
- Moral Event Horizon:
- Andross crossed this when he attempted to destroy the Earth and sent Polygon Man to lure G-Man/Radec and the good guys into the moon, knowing full well they wouldn't make it out in one piece.
- Polygon Man himself crossed it when he started turning some of the heroes into his slaves to make them fight their former allies, especially Heavy.
- One-Scene Wonder: Several characters only appear once, but still leave an impression. Kratos only appears in one episode, but his sole appearance involves him delivering a complete Curb-Stomp Battle to Giga Bowser.
- Unexpected Character:
- The series includes a lot of obscure characters, like Boogerman, Davy, Vexx, Rocket and Ninjabread Man.
- Fancy Pants Man since he originated from a Flash Game.
