YMMV / Furry Vengeance

Go To

  • Anvilicious: This movie's environmentalist messages are anything but subtle.
  • Designated Hero: The animals, because in environmental films Humans Are the Real Monsters. Even though if they were humans they would be highly dangerous felons with environmental terrorist tendencies.
  • Designated Villain: Dan is meant to be seen as a bad guy who deserves to be punished for destroying the animals' home. However, the fact that he suffers repeated injuries and humiliation while his superiors-who are actually running the operation-get off scott-free makes the whole thing fall flat.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: This wouldn't be the last film where animals try to stop Ken Jeong from destroying their environment...
  • Special Effect Failure: It's very obvious when the animals become CG, which is quite often. It is also obvious when the animals become stuffed animals.
  • Spiritual Adaptation: Probably the closest we'll ever get to seeing a live action version of Over the Hedge.

  • Unintentionally Unsympathetic: The animals, as, even though they are trying to defend their home, they are pretty much beating up a nice guy who really doesn't have that much power over whether their home even gets destroyed just because he happens to work for the company that's destroying their home in the first place. Even Amber, the human character who cares about the environment the most out of all the human characters, points out that he's not that bad of a guy.
