• Broken Base: The presence of slurs throughout the mod, including in the name of the Brutal Bonus Level. While the mod has caught flak for this for...obvious reasons, some fans of the mod accept their presence as maintaining accuracy to both the culture of 4chan (known for its users' low filter with them) and the character of /v/-tan, as well as their less-than-offensive purpose (to scare away the young Periphery Demographic). A similar argument applies to the presence of the /b/tards, one of which closely resembles a racist caricature.
• Funny Moments:
  • In the bad ending, Cancer Lord uses his Wave-Motion Gun to vaporize Boyfriend. Daddy Dearest is then seen laughing about his demise...before realizing that Girlfriend was also kidnapped.
  • In the good ending, /v/-tan steals Cancer Lord's gun and destroys him with it, with his last words being an annoyed "How the fuck". /v/-tan then gives a cheerful thumbs-up to Boyfriend before spitting in his face.
• Overshadowed by Controversy: In addition to the Broken Base above, this mod is most well known for getting taken off of GameBanana for having "/v/ goes to the movies", an infamous 4chan shock comic depicting lolicon porn, found within the files. While this was done in a deliberate ploy to get the mod off of GameBanana after it had been uploaded there without permission, many unfamiliar with 4Chan culture understandably found the comic horrifying and condemned the mod for its inclusion.
• That One Level: The Superboss, Cancer Lord, comes packing an incredibly difficult song called "Infinigger". The song is blazing fast at a whopping 200 BPM and shares a note density similar to Ballistic. On top of that, it also features Ebola arrows that apply a stacking Damage Over Time effect if you hit them, and right before the hardest part of the song, your controls are flipped to screw with your muscle memory.
