  • Awesome Music: The main theme is downright legendary among TV game shows.
  • Just Here for Godzilla: Delphine Wespiser is one of the most enduringly popular winners of Miss France and, as such, many viewers tune in just to see her (as Blanche and Rouge).
  • Most Wonderful Sound: The sound of the gold coins clinking as they come out at the end of the show.
  • Nightmare Fuel:
    • Especially back in the '90s some rooms were quite eerie. Special mention goes to the one with the woman on an electric chair with detached head.
    • Then there was this dark tunnel which the contestant must navigate by going along a rope using only their sense of touch. The entire thing was viewed using infrared camera which actually made it even creepier. Seeing all the stuff the unfortunate fellow had to deal with including a groping pair of handsnote  sticking out of wall — all in gray monochrome and accompanied by ghastly music made you wince and sent shivers down your spine.
    • If snakes and/or spiders scare you, don't watch the challenges in which the candidates have to navigate through rooms full of them (even though they are never lethal).
  • Seasonal Rot: Two happened during the show's run in France; the first in 2002 due to Jean-Pierre Castaldi (the host at the time) having a tendency to scream at the top of his lungs, and the other being the infamous 2010 season, due to the shift towards a duel format and being stripped of its humor, among others.
  • Special Effects Failure: It was decided out of animal rights-conscious sentiments to replace the show's tigers by CGI tigers in the 2022 edition. Even with the In-Universe excuse of them being "tiger spirits" animating statues, they look like very cheap mid-1990s TV CGI that wouldn't even be good enough for, say, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys.
