• The Chris Carter Effect: The story suffers from a Kudzu Plot, which is attributed to Glip writing by the seat of their pants.
• Continuity Lockout: Forbidden Flora, Floraverse's sister porn comic contains some content necessary to understand the main comic's story. Such as characters like Orobas receiving all of her character development and showing her personality in Forbidden Flora. Additionally, the later chapters of the comic are based on roleplays from the Discord server, or are about the authors personal life making those chapters difficult to follow for readers not part of either.
• Overshadowed by Controversy: A lot of the discussion around the comic has been overshadowed by abuse, cult and misconduct call outs leveled against Glitchedpuppet. Additionally, the authors ex-husband and former writer of Floraverse Marl has been outed as a pedophile and zoophile by one of his victims leaking chat logs of Marl attempting to convince a 16 year old to perform zoophilia acts on camera for him to sell. Glip has admitted to multiple zoophilia acts themselves, including being forced by Marl to engage in zoophilia with a dog on two separate occasions, and allowing their cat to perform sexual acts on them of their own volition. Glip claims that this controversy that has gone on for years is the result of a harassment and hate campaign.
