  • Crosses the Line Twice:
    • Frequently, usually with Lothar.
    • Reaches an arguable pinnacle here
Virus: And the answer is yes, to answer your question. I am ashamed of myself.
  • Foe Yay Shipping: Virus and Vitani. Check the comment section and you'll find countless people clamoring for them to hook up, or saying Vitani's not so bad. Keep in mind that she tried to eat him.
  • Genius Bonus: Page 288 has a large amount of binary code. It translates to I fucked your mum.
  • Harsher in Hindsight: As it happens, yes. Lothar was indeed right about this one.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight:
  • Tearjerker: Oh wow, even with all the Black Comedy, there's still genuinely sobering moments.
    • During the "Bookend" arc, Harry's best friend, Marley, gets cornered by the former, who demands to know where Morth is and why he wants the bookend. Before Marley can say why, he's shot dead by one of Morth's agents, who manages to get away with the bookend (albeit with Virus having attached a tracker to it so the gang can still follow him). By the time the dust settles, Harry snaps at Virus for it, but calms down when Virus reveals why he did. Then they turn to Marley's dead body, with the two of them looking very upset.
    • The "Tangled Web" arc has a Running Gag of Harry being insanely terrified of spiders, even hallucinating a rotted tree as a spider demon lurching his way. And when they do meet the daemon princess proper, Harry eventually feels Driven to Suicide... but his gun doesn't work. Despite being played for comedy, it's surprisingly humanizing of a guy who's otherwise ripe for humor at his expense.
      • Further, near the end, Harry takes a moment to sit down. In a major inversion of the norm, Leyana decides to put the moves on him, even though he's clearly traumatized. He outright begs Virus for help, and Sebastian bails him out by telling Leyana to leave him alone. You know it's sad when even a recurring pervert like Harry doesn't take well to being flirted with by someone who actually wants to tease him.
  • What Do You Mean, It's Not for Kids?: Despite having Funny Animals styled after Sonic the Hedgehog characters, this is no by means a children's comic, being based on Warhammer 40,000 and having plenty of Black Comedy, profanity, and sexual situations.
