• And You Thought It Would Fail: Moldova's Sunstroke Project was expected to flop in the semi-final, mostly because it would be hard for it to compete with the other songs, and even if it did make it to the final, it would finish in the right half of the scoreboard, again crushed by other songs. But when the qualifiers of semi-final 1 were announced, Moldova became the first country to qualify. And in the final, they finished third with the televote, which also garnered them the third place overall, resulting in Moldova's best placement to date.
