YMMV / Duck Tales Blue Collar Scrooge

Go To

  • Anvilicious: The episode is not subtle at all about its themes of relation between workers and bosses, and the workers' rights. Considering how much of a controversy workman's rights are in real-life, which have arguably worsened in years since the episode premiered, this ain't particularly a bad thing.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: Scrooge loses his memory and has to go to work at one of his own factories. While doing so, he learns what it's like to be one of his own employees. When he gets his memory back, he makes a number of changes that benefit his employees. Remove the amnesia element and you have Undercover Boss.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Scrooge and M'Ma build a genuine and sweet relationship which remains even after Scrooge gets his memory back. Sadly, it's never brought up again.
  • Values Resonance: This episode dealt with themes of respecting workers' rights and the relationship between bosses and employees. Needless to say, still very relevant as of today.
