Moral Event Horizon: Monoma's always been a JerkassSmug Snake, but he crosses the line when he decides to Copy Shinso's Quirk. What does he do with the ability to temporarily brainwash somebody? Why, he uses it on Bakugou so he can sell them out to Ryuunosuke, forcing them to let the Mind Syncer read their mind and reveal all their secrets... purely out of the hope that he can then use those secrets to humiliate and hurt them further. And when called out, he's absolutely unrepentant, attempting to defend the indefensible.
Broken Base: This story being a murder mystery with a more comedic, over-the-top tone has split people between those who love how self-aware and unserious this story takes itself, and those who feel the tone doesn't fit for a murder mystery and is too stupid to get invested in.
Catharsis Factor: Many players chose the premium option to give Sadie a "Reason You Suck" Speech for her behavior twoards Constance and all the crap she's put them through throughout the book.
Good Bad Bugs: In Chapter 17, Constance can choose to flirtatiously spank Charlie. Doing so results in a slapping sound effect that plays throughout the entire rest of the chapter (including the scene with the HOA election results and Sadie's Freak Out when she loses), to the bemusement of many fans.
I Knew It!: Some players correctly guessed that the Vermillion Lane Killer is Vince due to his name being short for Vincent and the Running Gag of characters having this name being villains.
