• Awesome Art: The artist is good at drawing wolves and rabbits. They're realistic enough yet still have an anthropomorphic, slightly cartoony look to them.
• Nightmare Fuel: The rabbit dies wide-eyed and panicked. Its body is stuck in this position the rest of the short.
• Popular with Furries: It's a free animated short about a wolf and a rabbit, plus it's well-drawn, so it attracts feral furries.
• Tear Jerker: The wolf is conflicted about its feelings towards the rabbit. Even after killing it, it clearly feels remorse.
• What Do You Mean, It's Not for Kids?: Judging by the comments, many expected a cute and slightly sad kid-friendly short about a wolf and rabbit becoming friends. Alas, One Stormy Night this is not. The wolf kills the rabbit (and with a fair amount of blood at that).
