• Diagnosed by the Audience: Petey's fairly reclusive, a Picky Eater, and a highly neurotic germophobe, but excels when it comes to creating shoebox dioramas and comics. Him being a Cloud Cuckoo Lander could also contribute to this, but everyone in the strip has demonstrated that in one way or another.
• Ensemble Dark Horse: Mr. Danders. Also, Annoyed Guy in Movie Theatre◊.
• Genius Bonus: Ernesto's superhero alter-ego is The Pied-à-Terror. How many people will know it's a pun on a Pied-à-terre?
• Hilarious in Hindsight: In one strip, Alice wishes she could take her head off and throw it at people to attack them. About ten years later, we now have UB Burst, who does exactly that (with a dash of Your Head Asplode).
• They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: After going to national syndication, the Sunday strips, which had been hand coloured with watercolour paints, were now coloured the same way most other comic strips were, and the decline in quality was noticeable. Luckily, Richard Thompson's writing quality did not decline.
