Trivia for the manga and OVA:

Awesome Art: Ryoichi Ikegami's art is a feast for the eyes, and adds an odd sort of beauty to all the bloodshed.
Narm Charm / So Bad, It's Good: The cheesiness is what drives interest for the series. Mind you, this is more accurate for the OVA than the manga.
Squick: The "every female gets naked, no exceptions" thing mentioned on the main page? It also applies to old ladies and the morbidly obese.

Narm Charm: It's unabashedly cheesy and more than a little pretentious, but it's so damn well-produced and sincere it's hard not to love it.
They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character:
- Detective Forge is set up as a foil for Netah, a By-the-Book Cop well-aware of his rampant corruption but forced to be his partner. And then she gets unceremoniously killed off in a car accident halfway through the second act without much fanfare, and is never mentioned again.
- Feng Ling is established as a potential Big Bad, being responsible for Yo's brainwashing and ordering his death. Outside of flashbacks, she's never seen or mentioned again after her initial appearance.
