• Tear Jerker: While Cory's channels are full of cheerful, family-friendly content, he's not immune to this.
  • In March 2018, Loki (who was a "special needs" cat with an autoimmune disease) developed a funagal infection in his lungs that caused his health to rapidly decline; he passed away in Cory's arms on March 24th. Loki's death was announced on YouTube the following day.

  • On June 14, 2020, Sparta was found in the kitchen, unable to walk. Cory made a brief video update before he took Sparta to the vet, informing the viewers that something was very wrong with Sparta and that it might be his last on-camera appearance. The vet determined that Sparta had suffered a stroke due to a blood clot in his back legs, leaving them paralyzed. When told that there was no way to treat it that would leave Sparta healthy and in good shape, Cory opted to put him down so he would not suffer. Sparta passed away in Cory's arms at the vet's office.
