YMMV / Chris Young

Go To

  • Covered Up: "Flowers", a popular cut from his debut album, was originally a single in 1997 for Billy Yates. As Yates' version went out of print many years ago, most people may know only Young's.
  • Seasonal Rot: His material from A.M onward has been largely derided by fans, due to a combination of loud and cluttered production, weaker songwriting, and a lack of the traditional country feel of his earlier albums. It didn't help the latter's case that both of its singles sold horribly, yet the label kept forcing them up the charts long after consumer interest had waned.
