YMMV / Chadtronic

  • Accidental Innuendo: Lampshaded by Chad multiple times in regards to the slushie-making novelty "Squeezy Freezy" in his video on the Magic Max slushie-makers, which, in order to make the slushie, requires a person to squeeze the silicone cup quite vigorously...
  • Alternate Character Interpretation: In this video, Chad watches a CNN news-report on some kids tossing out their M-rated and/or violent video games in response to the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary. Over the course of the video, Chad suggests that the dad accompanying the two kids being interviewed was the one who was making the kids throw out their video games and came up with the so-called anti-video game movement himself. Not helping matters is the fact that Chad is most likely right on the money, going by the kids' rather rehearsed, forced-sounding, and unenthusiastic nature during the interview and the fact that the dad dodges the question of why he bought the two pre-teen boys the M-rated video games they're throwing away in the first place and begins rambling about other things in attempt to change the subject.
  • Awesome Music: This remix by Master Sword. WHERE DID WE GO? (Ninety-four-Beanie-Babies) WHOA! WOW! I'm-scarred-for-life! (This is like an entirely different video!)
  • Ensemble Dark Horse:
    • SammyClassicSonicFan, since he likes to randomly shout in his videos, yet he never swears but replaces all of the swearwords with "Frick". It makes for good reaction comedy.
    • Brett, the Kazoo Kid. Some theorize that Chad is responsible for creating the "Kazoo Kid" meme, or at least contributed in it's popularity.
  • Fan Nickname:
    • Chad himself is affectionately called "Chapstick", "Chadtropic", "Chad Daddy" or just "Dad". He acknowledged the latter, saying it creeps him out.
    • "Chapstick" is also a common name for Chad's other on-screen persona, which is... Chad with a giant lipstick.
    • "Chadtropic" is from people misremembering his name (or more realistically, the dreaded autocorrect system) in YouTube comments.
  • Fountain of Memes: He's spawned a few, and it's a running gag that he wants the show to be this.
  • Fridge Horror: If Chad is right about the dad in the news report (see Alternate Character Interpretation), then there is a real man out there who made a mistake as a parent, but couldn't fess up to it and instead made his children throw out the games he bought for them, then proceeded to go on the news and claim that he was being a good parent while putting up the front of some anti-violence movement. All that unnecessary crap because he couldn't admit to one mistake (that probably wasn't even a big deal in the first place). It seems minor, but it really shows how obsessed parents can be with trying to be a "good" parent.
  • Heartwarming Moments:
    • The sincere farewell for SammyClassicSonicFan at the end of "Super Minecraft Kid"
Chad: "I guess you weren't that bad after all..."
    • Similarly, at the end of "SammyClassicSonicFan strikes back", an older Sammy talks about Chadtronic, saying he enjoys his videos and that there's no hard feelings between them.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: In his 5th Cursed Commercials, he looks at a commercial involving people with cube-shaped headsnote , which he says could be Steve's reveal trailer for Smash. Later on, the character actually was revealed for the game.
  • Memetic Mutation:
    • Clips of Chad whacking things with his pillow have seen some use as reaction videos/gifs.
    • "Coke in their stocking..."
    • THAT WAS FREAKING JUMPSCARE GRIMACE!!!
    • "Bop it!"
    • Chad also gave the "Hoot Wireless" soundbite from an ad for a cell phone shop that appeared in one Cursed Commercials video a good deal of notoriety before Vinny from Vinesauce helped bump it up even further.
    • Hilarious in Hindsight: He did a video involving the "Johnny, Johnny" song before it became a meme.
  • Moe: Chad qualifies for his perky nature.
  • Nightmare Fuel: The Creepy Ronald McDonald Doll in the "Weird McDonald's Commercials" video, which appears several times throughout the video in sepia-tone and with a Scare Chord. The low video quality really doesn't help.
    • Sammy's raptor shriek from earlier in the "Sammy Classic Sonic Fan Strikes Back" video comes back later in the video without warning.
    • Him getting JumpScared by Slappy at the end of the banning Halloween video
  • Squick: In Chad's video on the as-seen-on-TV "Magic Max" slushie makers, one of the cups he bought for his showcase had ice-blocks that appeared to be the color of urine and floating flecks of...something...inside them, and one of the other cups (the "Squeezy Freezy") turned out to be, needless to say, very used and caked with past drink/food material inside. One would hope that Chad didn't actually drink out of it...
    • In his seventh "Cursed Commercials" video, Chad watches a Doritos commercial revolving around a "cleaner" in a wall that removes the Doritos dust on your fingers after you eat. A guy named Billy puts his finger into the "cleaner", and it turns out this "cleaner" is a guy in an office on the other side who sucks the finger to "clean" the dust. Chad rated this ad 10/10 in terms of how cursed it is.
    • Another Cursed Commercial that Chad reviewed is a mix of both this and Totally Radical. Pimple Pete, the product shown in said ad, is EXTREMELY disgusting. The guy in the bottom left hand corner reacting as if he's in a Let's Play video does not help this commercial.
  • Values Dissonance: Pointed out by Chad during the (likely made in the mid-80s) Chuck E. Cheese's training video, when it tells employees how they should be in the ball-pits to supervise the kids. We'll give you a few moments to think about why they likely no longer do this.
