YMMV / Castlevania: The Adventure ReBirth

Go To

  • Awesome Music: All of the songs are remixed by Manabu Namiki from other games in the series, and aside from the obligatory Vampire Killer, few have reached the point of overexposure. Some were even considered wasted songs in their original games: stage 2's theme is the high score table music from Haunted Castle, and stage 4's theme is the loading screen music from Castlevania Chronicles.
  • Demonic Spiders: As typical of a Castlevania game, especially on Hard difficulty. Annoying, but rare monsters on Normal will show up far more and in nastier locations on Hard.
  • Difficulty Spike: Stage 3 is a lot harder than Stage 2, introducing trickier traps, enemy placement, and higher enemy damage. It gets worse from there, with another spike at Stage 5.
  • Ensemble Dark Horse: The Vampire miniboss in Stage 4 had already gotten popular when the game was originally streamed on YouTube. After the game was released in the west, she was eventually added as a boss in Serio's Castlevania Fighter.
  • It's Short, So It Sucks!: Like M2's other ReBirth games, this game is criticized by many for having only five stages.
