• Ensemble Dark Horse: Syaoran's four identical Quadruplet sisters who are only mentioned in the original manga.
• Fan Fic Fuel:
  • Did Clow Reed have any more students like The Enchantress?
  • Do Syaoran's sisters know who Sakura is? Are they sussing out whether she'll be in-law material? Do they ship them?
  • How come the prison Madoushi is sealed in has an outer layer that resembles the then-contemporary Bird Street? Is it part of the spell that it changes to adjust with the actual location? Can the Madoushi using her bird familiars see into the outside world and alter it using her own magic?
• Harsher in Hindsight: Sadly, the aforementioned Bird Street was demolished in the 1990s and replaced with the Yuen Po Street Bird Garden that opened in 1997, which makes the depiction of it in the movie as still existing in 1999 bittersweet. This is especially bittersweet as its depiction in the movie is probably most anime fans and the general population's exposure to it.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: With the movie's emphasis on ghosts and Yelan Li's powers, it would have been interesting if she could see or communicate with Sakura's mother, since she does appear in the series as a ghost, to talk about their children.
• Visual Effects of Awesome: Hong Kong is beautifully and painstakingly recreated, especially for the final flight battle between Sakura and The Enchantress at night.
