• Romantic Plot Tumour: Some fans argue that the Buffy/Angel kiss and the resulting drama is this. Given all the things that happened over on Angel (Cordy's coma and Connor), many argue Angel seems very Out of Character and that the two of them have been living extremely different lives and growing separately—making the relationship drama here feel hallow and tacked on, since they're practically strangers by the episode. And that's not even touching on the fact that precisely nobody on planet Earth was actually concerned a kiss would cause Spike to turn on Buffy (and in the final episode), leaving the cliffhanger the episode ends on fall flat.
• What Do You Mean, It's Not Symbolic?: When Buffy first picks up the Scythe, it throws a cross-like reflection on her throat where she'd normally wear her cross-necklace.
