- Animation Age Ghetto: Averted. While he has done some shorts meant for children, such as 12 Tiny Christmas Tales and Gary Guitar, or even things that aren't strictly for kids but still kid-friendly, such as The Tune, his underground reputation saves him the trouble of being expected to produce animation for a specific demographic and allows him to make whatever kind of films he wants, from innocuous and kid-friendly to borderline pornographic. His refined, nuanced art style is also not particularly "cutesy."
- So Okay, It's Average: His live-action films. Never heard of them? It's okay, they're all pretty boring. It's generally agreed that animation suits him better, as it allows him to do exactly what he sees in his head.
