• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Fans who held high expectations for this episode saw Trina’s Robotic Reveal at the end of The Bot Fighter to be the perfect setup for Obake to build a Stepford Wives-esque Life Model Decoy of Tadashi, whose unforeseen fate would have left Hiro a sobbing wreck. What did they gain instead? An episode that provides more comedy than the emotional roller coaster as implied by both American and Japanese promos, which has the team confronting their Absurd Phobias as well as the explanation of Tadashi’s comeback leaving a lot to be desired.
  • The episode also doesn't really explore how it is Hiro's first Halloween without Tadashi, not even featuring a flashback to when they were kids.
