YMMV / Babylon Five S 02 E 09 The Coming Of Shadows

  • Crosses the Line Twice: G'Kar wanting to assassinate the Centauri Emperor? Horrible. Him lamenting that the Emperor has the discourtesy to start dying on his own? Amusing. G'Kar hoping the Emperor is feeling better so MedLab personnel can prop him up for two seconds so G'Kar can finish him? Hysterical!
  • Rewatch Bonus: There were indeed occasional Rangers among the background extras in the season's earlier episodes.
  • Tear Jerker: It's pretty hard not to cry along with G'Kar during his breakdown.
Don't you understand? They'll kill everyone! They did it before, they'll do it again! They'll kill everyone!
    • The dying Centauri Emperor Turhan. He'd spent his entire reign trying to repair the damage caused by his people against the Narn, and as we meet the character he's this kindly old man still wondering about his place in the universe. But as Turhan's dying in the medical ward he finds out from the Vorlon Kosh that it will all end "in fire." He's truly heartbroken by the answer, knowing exactly what it means.
      • Worse still, Londo reports Turhan's last words as a blessing of the war with Narn, rather than his damning Londo and Refa for what they have done. The two of them and the emperor's telepath companions know the truth, but it is likely that the emperor who tried his hardest to secure peace will be used as a symbol of the war he tried to avert.
